Dear blogreader:

You may notice that I only update this site sporadically and there’s a reason, if not a great one. I’m planning on covering music in the city of wind and Cubs games, but I’m not quite there yet. I have a place to live, but someone is living there illegally and the Chicago tenant’s rights are too strongly in favor of renters and the Cook County Sheriff is like 12 weeks behind on evictions. So, until we get them out I’m living in Indiana, about an hour or so from Chicago and there’s nothing musical going on here. So, I’m just working on my record label, Chocolate Lab, my previous releases (Andy Yorke, Paper Round Kid) and my upcoming release from Clock Hands Strangle (Distaccati, May).

So, until I can get to Chicago I’m not going to be covering very much music. I have some CD reviews to post soon (Ladyfinger (ne), Andrew Bird, Handsome Furs). So, please bare with me and I hope you come visit in a few weeks when I’ll (hopefully) be in Chicago covering local and national musics.
